A neglected pool seems to radiate an air of sadness perhaps more than any other landscape feature. If yours has become run down over time, you probably want to avoid it rather than dive right in. Spa Kingdom is here to help!
With basic options available like fiberglass and plaster to more upgraded options like quartz and pebble, Spa Kingdom has a solution for all of your pool resurfacing needs.
Thanks to its flexibility and resistance to ground shifts, fiberglass is a popular choice for resurfacing a pool. To begin, we will make the pool surface as smooth as possible by filling in, reinforcing, and sanding any cracks or chips.
After that, a multi-layer application process begins. Resin and fiberglass coats are applied, then sanded. Finally, up to three top coats (available in a wide variety of colors and textures) seal the job.
The advantages? For starters, fiberglass lasts longer than plaster or concrete. Fiberglass is also smoother, so it absorbs less organic material and fewer chemicals. Fiberglass is resistant to algae stains, too. When done properly, you are left with a beautiful pool surface that's likely to last a good long time.
To economically resurface a concrete pool, we recommend plaster. An experienced professional from Spa Kingdom will either chip or sandblast away your old plaster, leaving the original concrete shell. Next, we will apply a bond coat. We then top it with one or two layers of new plaster tinted in your choice of color. Unlike fiberglass, plaster reacts with your pool's water over the course of its lifetime, so you may require more chemicals to maintain proper water chemistry.
Quartz and Pebble
For the most elegant results, ask about Spa Kingdom's Quartz and Pebble resurfacing options. Quartz is more stain-resistant than plaster alone; when the two are mixed, the result is an improved, durable surface that adds brilliant sparkle to your pool's water. Pebble-plaster aggregates create a striking look as well as a smooth, river rock-like texture under your feet. Additionally, quartz and pebble blends are the most chemical and stain-resistant of all plaster techniques.
